Brave Warrior Essentials was founded in 2012 by Cristina Chavez. In 2007, Cristina's dad was battling lung cancer and to help him feel better, she began to study aromatherapy - the practice of applying essential oils extracted from medicinal plants. Diffusing eucalyptus oil soothed his breathing and comforted him on an emotional level. In the years that followed, Cristina was working at an MMA gym and had a small room in the back where she stored her essential oils. She'd often give out different remedies to fighters as they were frequently injured or overexerted from training for competitions. The good response prompted Cristina to create ready made, aromatherapy based products available to everyone.
